Some examples are Casa do Ferreiro in Alcoutim, the Archaeological Site of Cerro da Vila in Vilamoura, the Miniature Collections Museum - Cars, Planes and Motorcycles in Lagos, Carrapateira Sea and Land Museum in Aljezur, and the Algarve Costume Museum in São Braz de Alportel, among others.
Local gastronomy is a particular highlight. Delicacies range from fish and shellfish to sweets with almonds, figs and oranges from the Algarve. There are many dishes you simply have to try in the many restaurants and pubs scattered around the region. Don't forget to ask for arbutus or fruit liqueurs after your meal.

As the Algarve is one of the best destinations in Europe, we simply have to mention golf.
The forms of its courses, most of which were designed by international architects, along with the fantastic settings where they are located will ensure even the most demanding of fans see their requirements met. The region is a first-class destination for the practice of this sport.
